Thank you to all those generous people who have helped with the startup costs for this school, people from UK, USA , and even someone from Trinidand & Tobago!

The school will provide free education to Burmese refugee children. 30 children have been given admission to begin with and we plan to gradually increase this number. Facilities will provide:

- Free Uniform, Tuition, Books & Stationary
- Free food as an incentive to attend
- Free Monthly access to a doctor
- Free Skills training for unemployed women eg sewing for self-employment.

Burmese Refugees flee accross the porous border into Bangladesh

Here are the photos from the official inauguration on 18 Dec 2007. Parents and teachers were present. Sweets were distributed and the children were each given blankets as part of the winter clothing appeal. They will be provided with free uniforms and stationary. Our plan is to gradually increase the intake so that more children can attend school. We pay rent on the premises, we pay for electricity bills, teachers salaries, children's, books and uniforms.

The children below have NEVER attended school ever before.

Thanks to you , we have enough funds to start the school The school will double up as a monthly health centre providing FREE access to a doctor. Impoverished women will receive FREE sewing classes in the afternoon so they can be self employed. If you wish to contribute to keep the school going , please donate and let us know the money is for the refugee school.
