some of the poor. It will cost £29 per person and will cover clinic stay, surgery, food, medicines, and travel expenses. If you wish to chip in a few £'s or a dollar or two , please use our our Donate button on our website (any amount welcome). Other regular work for this month and the next will also include the Free Mobile School, Pakistan project, new batch of Sewing Trainees, Acid victim support, two new tube wells, expansion of the refugee school to 60 students, our free monthly health clinic, and an HIV awareness programme .
SPONSOR THE EDUCATION OF A REFUGEE CHILD - update!
Last month, 4 children have been sponsored by generous donors. We still have over 43 poor students waiting
to be sponsored so that they can be guaranteed an education, and free school meals. As you know, food prices
have doubled, so a free meal is very important to these refugee children. You will receive updates every 6 months
and it is easy to setup and costs only £7 per month. To choose your child, please click here
LATEST PROJECT PHOTOS & VIDEO: BELOW
Here are the photos from our various April projects conducted within the last 30 days. We wish to thank
everyone who had sent us donations to make this possible. As you know, we don't receive any funding, and thus rely
completely on your hand-outs. So the photos below are thanks to you. Please do consider donating again so
we can carry on.
HELPING WIDOWS - Pakistan
Apologies for the grainy photographs. Upto 15 widows and their children from Karachi were assisted
with new clothes and fabric. Widows are poor, and in a culture where the man is the main bread winner,
and where it is sometimes frowned upon for widows to remarry, these people are economically disadvantaged
and struggle to survive following the loss of their husbands.

VIDEO DOCUMENTARY - Dying To Fish
Here is a silent video documentary about Bengali fisherman in Cox's Bazaar, Bangladesh. A lot of
them are refugees. There are some rather unusual looking boats in this video and you might want to look if you are
curious. These fisherman have no life jackets, no GPS, no radar, yet they risk their lives in order to feed their families.
TUBE WELL - safe drinking water, Bangladesh
A brand new tube well has been installed for a poor neighbourhood in the Cox's Bazaar area of Bangladesh. The tube well is essentially a pipe attached to a hand pump that is drilled into the ground until it reaches pockets of water. This ground water is naturally filtered and clean. This well was selected from an online vote held in March. To say that the people are grateful is an understatement. They kept thanking us for the new well because it means they now have safe access to clean water, nearby. They carry the water in a "Kolshi" (water vessel) as can be seen in the photos below. Thanks to a recent generous donor, two more are planned for this month in other areas.

FREE MOBILE School, Bangladesh
Our school goes to the kids, in poor communities, thrice weekly, and snacks are provided as an incentive to attend. Our friends from Digital Flow Software paid for the total cost of running the school for 1 month. We even had some money
to buy them a football which they get to kick around as a reward for being good students. These poor kids don't otherwise go to school and our mobile school is helping them read and write.
SEWING TRAINING
The current batch of trainees will be graduating this month and will receive certificates at an award ceremony.. A new batch of trainees will be admitted for another 3 months. The sewing training will enable these women to try and get work as tailors , either as freelance, or working for garment's factories
FREE REFUGEE SCHOOL
Refugee children are improving their basic literacy levels at our school, free of charge. Please consider
sponsoring a child's education - it will help us provide a guaranteed service for them on a regular basis. Click here if you want to read about its history.

HIT AND RUN child - recovering
One of the refugee girls whom we help, was hit by a jeep. We helped with some of the treatment costs and
a generous individual donated some money for her recovery food and medicines. She is better now and is
attending our free school again. Our thanks to the donor.
FREE MONTHLY HEALTH CLINIC
Each month, we provide a free doctor and medicines for some poor people. In April we helped some poor women
and children avail of this facility and some of the photos are below. Thank you for helping them. If you want to see last month's photos, please click here
