It can get very cold in Bangladesh during winter so we decided to distribute some children's warm clothes. Winter typically lasts from November-February. The days are lovely and mild but the nights can be viciously cold. There are many poor people in Bangladesh who cannot spend money on warm clothes. They often struggle to eat.

Many poor children become ill and some even die during winter from pneumonia or other winter illnesses. The infection can spread to other siblings and place a strain on the parents. So for our first project on 22 Dec 2006 , we travelled to Northern Bangladesh (Sayedpur) and distributed 100 jumpers to muslim & hindu children. They were accompanied by their parents. We would like to convey our gratitude to local volunteers who helped in the distribution process. We wish we could have helped more people.
