Training Seminar
Over 50 people were trained on HIV and its prevention in Cox's Bazaar. Training was provided by Dr Misbah Uddin Ahmed, a WHO Fellow, working for Cox's Bazar District Hospital. He is a specialist in AIDS/HIV and has received training in Thailand.
Guests included local dignitaries, the local police chief, and respected elders of the community.
The mainly young participants were given transportation costs, and refreshments as a thank you and as an incentive to attend. They were strongly encouraged to disseminate the information they picked up and pass it on to their friends and peers.
