PROJECTS IN DETAIL:
PROJECT #1. : Clothing & Food AID for Orphans And Widow's
Mercy Mankind wishes to extend their deepest thanks to our friends for carrying this project out for us on the ground. Thank you!
New Eid Clothes and sweets were distributed among Widows and orphaned children who were not able to celebrate Eid due to their financial circumstances and poverty. With the help of the local NGO's in Rawalpindi, some low income and low privileged families were identified in the areas of Dhok Husso and Lalkurti. We visited these family's houses and gave them Eid Gifts, Clothes and Sweets so they too could celebrate Eid and not feel left out.

PROJECT #2. Bangladesh : Food Aid: Family Meal Day
DATE: Friday 12 October 2007
Mercy Mankind carried out a "Family Meal Day" event in Chirir-Bandar village in the district Sayedpur, situated in North-West Bangladesh. 100 extremely poor families were provided with raw ingredients with which they could cook a traditional pudding meal (considered a luxury).
Each family was provided with 1kg Sweet Noodles (vermicelli), 1/2 kg of sugar, and 1kg of dried milk powder.
These families are very poor. They were extremely happy with their gift and extremely grateful because they could offer their children a nice rare treat. Some of them extended their feelings of joy and gratitude towards those of YOU who have helped with this project. We cannot describe their happiness in words, you had to be their to have witnessed it yourself. Thank you.
